Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) of the U.S. CDC has announced that this summer (~June 30th), it will release a Notice of Funding Opportunity for 7–8 NIOSH Centers of Excellence for Total Worker Health (TWH). These centers are intended to develop and conduct multidisciplinary research, intervention, outreach and education, and evaluation activities to advance the overall safety, health, and well-being of the nation’s workforce.

CDC has highlighted several priority areas that these centers may focus upon and include:

  • Opioid and Other Substance Use Disorders in the Workplace
  • TWH Outreach, Education, and Training
  • Measuring Worker Well-Being
  • Future of Work
  • Healthy Work Design and Well-Being

UMN has strengths in several of these areas. Please join SPARC at this Collision Incubator to learn more about this opportunity and explore potential partnerships.
