Our Projects

SPARC engages researchers and practitioners across disciplines in the US and globally to establish new large-scale programs that catalyze collaboration, innovate for new discoveries, and deliver practical new solutions that address these critical challenges. Launched in January 2019, we are currently working with several University of Minnesota teams on large-scale project proposals and have one multidisciplinary project in progress.

Laboratory Capacity Building and Implementation of Enhanced Surveillance for Leptospirosis and Melioidosis in Puerto Rico

This project is developing and planning to implement a surveillance system in Puerto Rico to identify and treat cases of leptospirosis and melioidosis earlier, better define at-risk areas and predominant local risk factors, and inform prevention recommendations.
